Meet your guide.
I'm Peter — and I've been self-employed for over 20 years, the last 17 of them in the chocolate industry.
I taught myself chocolate making from scratch and built my first brand, Chocolate Alchemy — which I sold in 2013 to start Cocoa Amore, now one of the East Midlands' most established artisan chocolatiers. More recently I founded BABAO Cacao — three brands built from the same kitchen-table start.
For more than a decade I've mentored at enterprise academies and universities, guiding young founders through the messy early years. I've made the expensive mistakes so you don't have to — and I've built the network to help more established businesses chart a clear path to their next stage of funding.
